The current Fortnite season has been quite controversial. Since Epic Games decided to focus on cars, many players have struggled to win games. Even after the game developer nerfed cars, the situation hasn’t drastically changed for a lot of players. However, the newest Fortnite strategy is quite OP, and it doesn’t require cars for its success!
In this article, we will explain how you can use the new strategy to win Fortnite matches in Season 3. Considering how effective it is, though, Epic may nerf it soon. Due to this, make sure to try it out as soon as possible!
This is the easiest way to win Fortnite matches in Season 3
Many Fortnite players still have fond memories of the Double Pump mechanic from the early seasons of Chapter 1. This strategy involved using two Pump Shotguns and quickly switching between them after shooting. A few weeks after it caught on, Epic nerfed this strategy by adding a switching delay. This delay is active for most weapons, but there are a few exceptions.
While most Fortnite players use cars in Season 3, the Boom Bolt can be OP too. This weapon is primarily used against vehicles, but it’s also capable of dealing massive damage against enemy players. TikTok user devoursilent recently shared a video that shows how effective this weapon can be.
As the video above shows, by picking up two Boom Bolts and pairing them with Ringmaster Scarr’s Medallion, you can deal massive damage to your enemies. The Rare (Blue) Boom Bolt deals 102 damage, while the Mythic one deals 111.
All of the variants of the new Fortnite weapon are relatively powerful against structures as well, making them effective in both Battle Royale and Zero Build modes. Furthermore, they have a headshot multiplier of 1.8x, which allows them to deal just under 200 damage per shot.
Considering that the Boom Bolt uses Rocket ammo, which is quite limited, you will need to take down Ringmaster Scarr first. This boss is located at Nitrodome and drops the Mythic Boom Bolt and a Medallion that grants infinite ammo and damage boost. While carrying the Medallion, you will receive a 5.5% damage boost to the bow, making it even more effective.
With infinite ammo and damage boost, this is certainly the most OP strategy in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3. However, Epic Games will release a new Fortnite update soon, which may nerf this powerful weapon.
