Helldivers 2 fans can download amazing Star Wars mod to make dream crossover a reality

Helldivers 2 is one of the biggest and best games of the year so far, meanwhile, Star Wars is one of the biggest and most iconic franchises ever. The galaxy far, far away has recently featured in Fortnite, but it is now also featuring in Arrowhead’s Super Earth thanks to modders. A Helldivers 2 x Star Wars mod is now available to download allowing fans to make the dream crossover a reality by playing as Clone Troopers.

As the biggest game of the year so far, Helldivers 2 has also reached the feat of becoming the biggest PlayStation game ever. For everyone part of the Super Earth army, the team is focused on fixing balancing issues understandably complained about by the community, and the developer is also working on a highly requested feature to let players test weapons.

Not only is there balancing kinks to look forward to, but we are also soon set to get the Illuminate alien race. While the arrival of the Illuminate is exciting, especially after comparisons to Predator, you can instead just completely overhaul Arrowhead’s game with a Star Wars mod to turn helldivers into Clone Troopers fighting for democracy.

Helldivers 2 x Star Wars mod available to download

A Helldivers 2 x Star Wars mod uploaded to Nexus by ToastedShoes is available to download. As of writing, it’s received nearly 2,000 downloads from the community.

Before you think about downloading the mod, you should know that it comes with the following disclaimer:

‘Helldivers 2 is a multiplayer game with anti-cheat measures. While a client-side cosmetic mod is unlikely to trigger those measures (and has yet to do so in hours of personal testing), modding of any sort is done entirely at the risk of the end-user and neither ToastedShoes, Kboy, Nexus Mods, or any other entity can be held responsible for damages that may result from utilizing mods. You have been warned!’

Provided you are willing to download this mod even with the above disclaimer acknowledged, you should also know that it requires your helldiver to use the brawny body type and ‘using this mod may cause other armors which utilize the same base mesh components to appear incorrectly’.

Although not part of Helldivers 2, Arrowhead’s CEO has said that he is interested in ‘proper modding support‘ in the future. Of course, it is not possible to bring modifications to the game on PS5, and very few titles support mod on consoles besides Skyrim, Fallout 4, and eventually Baldur’s Gate 3.
