David Jehn, vice president, network planning and airline partnerships, JetBlue commented on this new route launch:

“With picturesque beaches and vibrant cultural heritage, Tulum has proven to be a destination in demand by seamlessly blending ancient and modern, in a country that continues to lead with world-class hospitality”.

“With the new international airport in Tulum, we are able to bring our customers where they want to go, arriving and departing in a brand new, modern, and convenient airport facility while offering the great service and low fares JetBlue is known for.”

It is understood that JetBlue will service this route from New York JFK with an Airbus A320, and will join the likes of Cancun, Puerto Vallarta & Los Cabos.

On top of this, the carrier will become the only airline to service Tulum from the New York-based airport, which opens up opportunities for the carrier moving forward.

All eyes will be on how this new service performs.
