In any competitive FPS, whether it’s CoD or XDefiant, win streaks are tough to come by due to certain random elements in the game. At times, you can get matched with teammates who don’t do objectives, while at others, your match can be affected by factors out of your control (sudden disconnections, lag spikes, etc.). However, some seemingly aren’t affected by any of these potential issues in the game, as some players are somehow racking up 100+ win streaks.

Based on u/Marcelo1995211‘s Reddit post, one of these players, huzzlerr_, has won a whopping 137 matches in a row. Similarly, u/Educational_Ad_4076 claimed one of their friends reached an even more absurd 225-game win streak. Unsurprisingly, a few commenters are accusing them of leaving matches before they lose to preserve their streak. However, some have pointed out that disconnecting or lagging out causes the win counter to reset, making this exploit unlikely.

In addition, a closer look at huzzler_’s tracker.gg page shows that they almost exclusively play Occupy, which, when played with competent squadmates, can easily lead to a stomp of the other team. And, as some pointed out, it becomes even easier if you stack up with other talented players. The game’s lack of SBMM means you won’t get matched with different groups, giving a cohesive group a tremendous advantage no matter what game mode you jump into.

Unfortunately, with XDefiant’s casual modes unlikely to get skill-based matchmaking any time soon, the only way to avoid these players may be to play the upcoming SBMM-equipped Ranked mode exclusively, to make a team of your own, or to grind it out until you improve your game. Otherwise, you may have to wait until the Black Ops 6 release date if you want to match up with other similarly skilled players.
