Sunclass Receives A321neo & A330neo from Air Lease Corporation

Last week, it was announced that Sunclass Airlines has taken delivery of one Airbus A321neo and one Airbus A330neo from ALC.

This article will cover the details surrounding the delivery of Sunclass’ first Airbus A321neo and second Airbus A330-900neo.

Sunclass Receives First A321neo & Second A330neo


On long-term lease from ALC (Air Lease Corporation), Danish operator Sunclass Airlines has received its first Airbus A321neo as well as taking delivery of its second Airbus A330-900neo.

The Airbus A321neo, registered as OY-VKA was delivered to Copenhagen, Denmark from Airbus’ factory in Hamburg, Germany on December 13 and features an all-economy class of 218 seats.

The new A321neo joins the carriers fleet of existing nine Airbus A321ceos of which were inherited from the now defunct Thomas Cook Scandinavia airline.

The carrier’s second Airbus A330-900neo, registered as OY-VKP was also delivered to Copenhagen, Denmark, but from Airbus’ factory in Toulouse, France and features an all-economy class of either 373 seats in the winter months and 385 seats during the summer months.

Commenting on their latest delivery with Sunclass, Air Lease Corporation’s Executive Chairman, Steven Udvar-Házy, has said, “We are pleased to announce the first of two A321-200neos and the first of three A330-900neos delivered to Sunclass Airlines.”

“With these new ALC aircraft, Sunclass will continue to progress its fleet modernization program adding new generation widebodies and narrowbodies that offer the most advanced technology and efficiency.”
