Turkish Airlines Receives 15th Airbus A350 Aircraft

The last week or so has seen Turkish Airlines take delivery of it’s 15th Airbus A350 aircraft, as many more are expected be on the way over the next few years.

#15 was delivered last weekend, and has already been operating commercial services for the carrier, highlighting the high demand for new jets.

Without further ado, let’s get into it…

Turkish Airlines Receives 15th Airbus A350 Aircraft…

TC-LGO was #15 for Turkish Airlines, with the Airbus A350 departing Toulouse at 1823 local time on November 17.

Under the flight number TK6830, the aircraft landed into Istanbul at 2325 local time that same evening.

It’s first commercial flight took place on November 22, which was to Sao Paulo, before returning back to the Turkish capital the next day.

The 15th unit for Turkish Airlines brings the airline’s current fleet count to 340 aircraft at the time of writing (22/11/23), of which 316 are in active service and 24 are parked, and are broken down into the following aircraft:

• 6 Airbus A319-100s.
• 12 A320-200s.
• 65 A321-200s.
• 41 A321neos.
• 21 A330-200s.
• 36 A330-300s.
• 15 A350-900s.
• 40 Boeing 737-800s.
• 15 737-900ERs.
• 20 737 MAX 8s.
• 5 737 MAX 9s.
• 35 777-300ERs.
• 8 777 Freighters.
• 21 787-9 Dreamliners.

There are plenty more Airbus A350s on the way for Turkish Airlines, with a blockbuster order agreed in principle for 75 -900s and 15 -1000s, which was part of a mega 350-strong order made before the Dubai Airshow.

This means by the time all deliveries are all completed, the airline is expected to have a fleet of 105 A350s. WOW!
