The Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) has taken the drastic step of suspending all Voepass airline operations, citing a “systematic failure to comply with regulatory requirements” and a “degradation” in the airline’s safety management system.

Voepass flight 2283, an ATR-72-500 turboprop, crashed on 9 August 2024, in Vinhedo, São Paulo State, Brazil. The flight originated from Cascavel, Paraná, and was en route to Guarulhos, São Paulo.
Tragically, all 62 people on board, 58 passengers and 4 crew members, lost their lives in the crash. Initial investigations by the Brazilian Aeronautical Accidents Investigation and Prevention Center (CENIPA) showed that the aircraft had encountered icing conditions.
