The Finals Season 4 is here! We’ve spent the longest time with S3 since the game’s launch, but now we get to enjoy Embark’s newest chapter. There is a lot to anticipate from a new map, weapons, and gadgets, to a fresh battle pass full of unique rewards. Here you will find the expected release date and start time countdown for when The Finals Season 4 will come out, along with all of the rewards part of the battle pass.
There is a lot of new content to anticipate, but it’s important to first clarify what is not being added. The developer has confirmed they are not adding 3v3v3 Cashout despite the TwitchCon preview, and they have also clarified that nukes are not returning despite appearing in the S4 teaser. Embark has also told fans they are working on a new feature, but it will hopefully arrive by S5.
With all of the above admissions out of the way, there is a lot of added content to anticipate for The Finals Season 4. The release date and start time countdown is nearly over, and we cannot wait to begin playing.
The Finals Season 4 release date
The release date for The Finals Season 4 is September 26th. This is confirmed by Embark on the game’s official X account.
One of the most exciting aspects about the upcoming chapter is Cashout returning to Ranked. This was the first huge announcement for S4, and it came as a relief to many in the community as the biggest bane with S3 has been Terminal Attack positioned as the Ranked mode.
As for why Cashout wasn’t ranked in S3, it’s because Embark were implementing changes in the mode all the way up to update 3.14.0. On the game’s website, the design director has shared a post detailing all of the improvements made to Cashout. It’s a necessary read as it details the rationale behind the changes while also providing some interesting discoveries about player behaviour.
When does The Finals Season 4 start?
The expected release time for when The Finals Season 4 will start is 2AM PT/5AM ET/10AM BST on September 26th. This is when weekly updates typically come out for the game.
It’s important to note that Embark hasn’t announced the official start time, and updates are occasionally delayed from the usual hours mentioned above. In that case, we expect the chapter to at least drop before 4AM PT/7AM ET/12PM BST.
If you are still playing Terminal Attack Ranked, there is an in-game countdown that confirms it is ending at 12:30AM PT/3:30AM ET/8:30AM BST on September 26th. This is not when Season 4 will start, but at least you know it will not begin before Terminal Attack leaves Ranked.

The new map from Embark is called Fortune Stadium. This is an arena with sectors dedicated to the game’s newly added sponsors.
