PS Plus January 2024 Extra and Premium games reveal date with games leaving

Last year was pretty fantastic for PlayStation Plus subscribers. And, as good as 2023 was, this year is set to be pretty special as January 2024 is already stacked with gems. The PlayStation Plus January Essential games are now available to grab, but we’re still due the Extra and Premium additions. The reveal date for the PS Plus January 2024 Extra and Premium games should be just over the horizon, and there are also some terrific titles leaving the subscription service before the month ends.

As mentioned, 2024 is shaping up to be another excellent year of video game releases. We have compiled a schedule of upcoming games for 2024, and, while there aren’t many PlayStation exclusives announced for the year so far, there is The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered release date for January. There is also Tekken 8 with a demo available to download right now, and you will be able to finally play Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League if you opt for early access.

All of the above is no doubt exciting, but here’s hoping Sony also adds more incredible games to PS Plus Extra and Premium to make up for the excellent titles leaving.

PS Plus Extra and Premium January 2024 games reveal date

The expected reveal date for the PS Plus Extra and Premium January 2024 games is January 10th. Sony usually reveals the Extra and Premium games on a Wednesday one week after the release of the Essentials. The January 2024 Essentials were given away on January 2nd, hence the expectation that Sony will pull the curtain next Wednesday.

After the games have been announced, they typically come out the Tuesday after. So, if announced on January 10th as expected, you should be able to begin playing from the 16th. In regard to the February 2024 Essentials, they are expected to be announced on January 31st.

Before February comes around, make sure to claim the PS Plus January 2024 Essentials before the expiry date, February 5th. A Plague Tale Requiem is a must-play masterpiece, and Evil West and Nobody Saves The World are good, too.

Games leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium January 2024

All of the below games are leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium on January 23rd, 2024:

It Takes Two won Game of the year at the Game Awards in 2021, meanwhile, Devil May Cry 5 won Best Action Game at the Game Awards in 2019. Although these are the two biggest names leaving, Pillars of Eternity 2 is another massive game especially if you’ve become a fan of CRPGs thanks to Baldur’s Gate 3. Snowrunner is another terrific experience if you want something that is relaxing and challenging at the same time.
